Bob Dylan's Tell Tale Signs - the 8th instalment in the best-selling and critically lauded Bootleg Series which launched 1991 - will be released by Columbia Records on Monday, October 6. A treasure-trove of 27 songs spanning two discs, Tell Tale Signs features previously unreleased recordings and alternate versions of tracks from sessions which generated some of Bob Dylan's most acclaimed and commercially successful albums from the last two decades, including Time Out Of Mind, Love And Theft, Modern Times and Oh Mercy.
The two-CD Tell Tale Signs will feature a booklet of rare photos, extensive liner notes by author Larry "Ratso" Sloman, and complete recording credits. A limited-edition deluxe three-CD package of Tell Tale Signs will also be released on October 6, featuring all of the elements of the two-disc set, plus an exclusive bonus disc of 12 additional rare and unreleased recordings and a hardcover book of Bob Dylan singles artwork spanning his entire career. The three-CD package will be presented in a specially-designed hardcover slipcase.
The collection will also be released in a limited-edition 4-LP set, pressed on 180-gram vinyl, packaged in a 12" X 12" box, and including all of the elements of the two-CD set. Disc 1 of Tell Tale Signs will also be packaged in a stand-alone version, serving as a lower-priced introduction to The Bootleg Series for new fans.
Previously unreleased songs on Tell Tale Signs include "Red River Shore," "Dreamin' of You," and "Marchin' To The City" from the Time Out Of Mind sessions, plus "I Can't Escape From You," "Duncan & Brady," "Miss The Mississippi," and "32-20 Blues", Dylan's first ever release of a Robert Johnson song.
Tell Tale Signs also includes Bob Dylan recordings created for the motion picture soundtracks of "Lucky You" ("Huck's Tune"), "Gods & Generals" ("'Cross The Green Mountain") and "North Country" (an alternate take of "Tell Ol' Bill").
Rounding out Tell Tale Signs is a selection of outstanding live performances, including "Girl From The Greenbriar Shore" from 1991; and a consummate rendering of "High Water (for Charley Patton)" from Niagara in 2003.

Visions Of Dylan is an exhibition of photographs inspired by Bob Dylan, in aid of Warchild.
The exhibition takes place at 6.30pm on 1st October in London; simultaneously, an online the auction of the photographs will take place.
Each print is unique - an edition of 1 - and 100% of the profits will go to Warchild.

Dylan, his greatest songs, is released as 1CD, 3CD digipack and deluxe 3CD box set on 1st October. The 1CD version includes a bonus disc featuring the first ever Dylan remix, Mark Ronson's remix of Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine) plus the original version of the song.
Most Likely... is released as a single on CD and 7" on 24th September.

Bob Dylan was last night shortlisted for 2 Brit Awards in the international artist categories.
His 2006 album Modern Times is nominated in the Best International Artist award, along with records from Gnarls Berkley, The Killers, Justin Timberlake and Scissor Sisters.
He's also listed for Best International Male, with Beck, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson and Justin Timberlake for company.
The awards take place in London on Feb 14th.
Bob Dylan returns to these shores in April for his first shows since the release of Modern Times earlier this year. Tickets go on sale today (8th December) and are available from the outlets detailed below.

Modern Times, which came out at the end of August and is Bob's first new album in five years, has proved to be his best selling record in over 20 years. Public awareness of Dylan is at an all-time high. The first volume of his memoirs, Chronicles, was one of the most acclaimed and best-selling non-fiction works of 2004, and last year's No Direction Home film, directed by Martin Scorsese, captivated audiences worldwide as it documented Dylan's early career and rise to fame. The film won a Peabody Award in 2006. As previously announced, Bob Dylan's XM Satellite Radio shows in the US, Theme Time Radio Hour, will be aired for the first time in the UK this month. Six of the shows will be broadcast on Radio 2 on consecutive evenings from Saturday December 23, before continuing on 6 Music on New Year's Eve and then on Friday nights from January 12.
