Judas Priest are set to take the UK by storm in February 2009 when they hit the road with metal veterans Megadeth and Testament to play six unmissable shows across the country. The dates have been slightly amended due to unforeseen circumstances which now sees the tour as follows:

Wednesday 11th: Odyssey Arena, Belfast (tickets)
Friday 13th: Sheffield Arena* (tickets)
Saturday 14th: Birmingham LG Arena* (tickets)
Monday 16th: SECC, Glasgow (tickets)
Tuesday 17th: Manchester Apollo** (tickets)
Friday 20th: Cardiff International Arena (tickets)
Saturday 21st: Wembley Arena, London (tickets)

* existing ticket holders for the Nottingham Arena show (which has now been cancelled) are being offered a pair of tickets to either the Sheffield or Birmingham shows. ** the Manchester MEN Arena show on Tuesday 17th has changed to the Apollo Theatre -standing tickets are valid for the same date for this new show, seated tickets will need to be exchanged at point of purchase.

Metal legends Judas Priest have today been nominated for 2 awards at this year's Grammies. The band are up for Best Hard Rock performance for Visions as well as Best Metal Performance for Nostradamus (single). Commenting on behalf of the band, Glenn Tipton said:

"It's great to be nominated again for two Grammy's and maybe this time, after over 35 years of flying the metal flag - maybe just maybe - we might get one !!"

Judas Priest are on the cover of Metal Edge magazine this month, from the feature Rob Halford talks about how the band deals with fan expectations:

"You can't go back in the studio and make 'British Steel' again. You can't go back in the studio and make 'Painkiller' again. There's no point in doing that. As writers, we've always been adventurous and wanted to present something different from record to record. We've always led with our hearts and what we instinctively felt is the right thing to do."

Metal legends Judas Priest will not only be appearing at next week's Download Festival, but that they also have a new album in the pipeline.

Long in the works, Nostradamus takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th Century French prophet. Some of the events that Nostradamus experts have interpreted as his predictions include the Great Fire of London in 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and most recently, 9-11, among countless other renowned events.

As with all new Priest releases, the band will embark on a mammoth worldwide tour in support of Nostradamus. Priest will be performing at the 2008 Download Festival which will serve as a homecoming of sorts, as they performed at the first-ever 'Monsters of Rock Festival' at Donington Park in 1980.

The Download Festival takes place between 13-15 June 2008 at Donington and is an award-winning event, crowned 'Top Festival of 2007' by Billboard magazine. This year's line-up includes Kiss, OffSpring, LostProphets, Judas Priest, Motorhead, HIM, Rise Against and many more.
