Dear All,
In September 2010 My Brother and I are to set off on a MONSTER bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and help with the TCT fundraising appeal to develop services for teenagers and young adults in the East Midlands.
Their aim is to provide:-
• A 5 bedded unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary
• A 5 bedded unit at Queens Medical Centre hospital
• A 3 bedded unit at Nottingham City hospital

We have been in training for a few months now and have clocked up a fair few miles to help us with the 1000 mile bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats. Early on in our training regime we took part in the Century Cycle Challenge for TCT East Midlands, as members of Team ‘Wooden Spooners’, a cycle ride from Nevill Holt in Leicestershire to Burnham Deepdale in Norfolk.
The event was fantastically organised and really gave us the buzz for taking that next step for the monster ride.
On September the 4th 2010 we will set off from Lands End on a 14 day ride up the country (followed by Peter Edwards (Dad) as our support vehicle driver) fundraising as we go. Our website (see link below) will be updated daily with our progress and events of the day, along with a daily write up within the Leicester Mercury.
I will be fresh from the summer festivals and touring the world, culminating in headlining the V Festival at the end of August.

We have set up a fundraising page on the TCT website (see link below) and are hoping to raise as much as possible to help towards the target set for the East Midlands appeal.
It would mean a lot to us and the TCT if you could possibly (please) sponsor us £2 or any amount, to help to improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this email and thanks a million for any donation you may give.
If you could please send this email around to five friends or colleagues to help with the effort that would be much appreciated!
Thanks again!
Best Wishes,
Chris & Jason Edwards

If you didn't make it to this year's T in the Park and would like to see the Kasabian set, we have great news.
Tonight, BBC 3 are showing a 1 hour Kasabian special from T in the Park.
The show starts at 7pm on BBC 3.

Kasabian prepare for what will undoubtedly be a triumphant headline slot at V2010 with a show at the O2 Academy Brixton on August 19.
The date follows their headline set at T In The Park this month and rounds off an immensely successful 18 months in which they hit No. 1 with their third album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum and scooped a plethora of awards including the Brit for Best British Group, the Q and NME awards for Best Album and most recently the Mojo Song Of The Year award for Fire, where they also presented Jimmy Page with his MOJO Hall Of Fame award.
The band precede their Brixton show with a date at the Belfast Belsonic on August 17. Tickets for Brixton go on pre-sale on July 7 and general sale July 9 priced at £27.50 while Belfast tickets are on general sale from July 7, all from Ticketweb.

Kasabian will be supporting Muse on two of their summer European stadium shows. See the gig section for more info.
