Once again BFMV score successes in the Kerrang! magazine end of year polls.

Hero Of The Year was Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine)

In the Best Album category "Scream Aim Fire" came 4th losing out to Slipknot's "All Hope is Gone" which also won worst album !

Bullet For My Valentine also were runners up in Best Video with "Waking The Demon", voted 3rd for Best Live Band, 4th Best Band and 5th best track, again with "Waking The Demon".

Best Thing of 2008 following Download and Barack Obama's victory came Bullet For My Valentine tour.
